When the sun is shining, rooftop solar panels collect energy from the sun. Solar panels take the sun’s energy, and convert it into usable electricity using microinverters. The usable electricity flows from the panels, through the net meter, and into a home to power appliances.

On the back of each solar panel called inverter converts DC electricity into Alternating Current electricity( usable electricity). AC electricity flows from the solar panels through efficient wires and cables into net meter. After electricity runs through your net meter, it makes itself comfortable in your home and powers all of your appliances.
